https://genglobal.org/new-zealand/manifesto/So here we are... 2020 gone in a flash and 2021 in full swing… Does anyone else feel like there’s a great evolutionary filter being applied to our economy. Like, only the fittest businesses will be allowed through the COVID19 filter to survive and perhaps thrive eventually on the other side.
It’s becoming a numbers game... like gambling, the more chips you play, the better the odds are of winning. How you play your hand influences your success.
Only in this pandemic game version, all our current bets are with the stock of existing businesses built for calmer conditions. Many of which are barely getting by on their wits (and government grants).
Are our broader economic outcomes sensitive to what happens now, especially with our startups?
Simply put, we need to increase the volume and quality of entrepreneurial activity in NZ.
